BENTONE HYDROCLAY 2100

BENTONE HYDROCLAY 2100 is a highly beneficiated, easily dispersible powdered smectite clay additive. BENTONE HYDROCLAY 2100 provides excellent suspension control and reduces phase separation and syneresis. It imparts thixotropic viscosity to the water phase without unduly increasing viscosity. BENTONE HYDROCLAY 2100 is easy to process and no chemical activator or increased temperature is required. It increases the viscosity of the aqueous phase and stabilises viscosity on ageing, at varying temperatures and under different shear conditions. BENTONE HYDROCLAY 2100 imparts thermostable thixotropy/pseudoplasticity. Typical use levels of BENTONE HYDROCLAY 2100 are 0.3% to 1.0% based on total system weight. When used in solutions, BENTONE HYDROCLAY 2100 helps provide a smooth, silky feel and maintains stability of formulations over time and across varying temperatures.
